This wedding was special for several reasons!  One, they are pretty awesome people.  Two, they got married on July 4th (totally awesome, right?…Yay for weekday weddings).  Another reason I loved this wedding, their wedding day also happened to be Stan’s birthday!  Y’all know how much these couples have a special place in my heart.  Why?  Because Michael and I got married on my birthday.  Birthaversaries is where it’s at, haha.  Unless, your husband or wife remembers your birthday on your first year anniversary and forgets your wedding anniversary (yes, that has totally happened). lol.

This fourth of July wedding was filled with shades of pink, burgundy, and blue.  The pinwheel boutonnieres were the coolest ever! Their wedding was held at one of our favorite venues, which also happens to be 15 minutes from us.  If you are looking to have an outdoor wedding, you should totally check out John James Audubon Center.  It makes me happy 🙂

Stan and Hilary, thank you for being so amazing to work with.  It was so much fun being part of your day.  Best wishes for many amazing birthaversaries together!  🙂

Happy Sunday Funday!

Melissa.

You know how much we love night portraits.  We were hoping to find some fireworks in the sky somewhere.  We heard fireworks in just about every direction and saw some from afar, but nothing crazy exciting.  While exploring for these fireworks, we happened to stumble onto this field of fireflies.  At least were able to get something with the word fire, in our photos ;0)
