This recent snow storm was bad enough to knock our power out here in KOP.  At first it was pretty annoying.  More so when we looked across the street and saw the neighbors watching their HUGE tv in the comfort of their heated house!  We checked on our neighbors next to us whose power was out also.  Their names are Dick and Jane and about 85 years young.  Some of the nicest people I have EVER met.  It’s rare to find genuine people like that anymore it seems.

Anyway, when your lights are out so come the candles and flashlights.  We had to eat dinner in the living room  and we basically hung out there as well.  We didn’t make it too long before the cold started to set in so we decided it best to check into a hotel near by.  I tried convincing Melissa to leave Mr. Ugglesworth home but that didn’t work, lol.  Aside from having to leave the house, Peco telling us we have to wait 4 to 5 days to get our electricity back, sticking all of our freezer foods in a bin outside so it doesn’t thaw, and finding a hotel to stay in, its been fun.  Really has.  Its been nice just spending time with the family this way.  You should try it.  Go and cut your power for a couple days and see what happens.

Below are a few images from our latest adventure!

Candlelight dinner.

We played with their little animals for quite a while.

Uggs got up there but couldn’t figure out how to get down.
