On Saturday, we shot Nikola & Caryn’s wedding at the Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel in center city Philadelphia. First, I’ll start by saying how much we love shooting in center city. We love Philadelphia and we love weddings…so really, it’s a no brainer that we would love shooting weddings in Philadelphia =0)
Our morning started out covering the bride’s (Caryn) make-up at Warwick Hair Design. Which, is located in the hotel…convenient. Next, we made our way up to the 11th floor to Nikola & Caryn’s suite (they shared an adjoining room..super cute). After getting beautified for the wedding day (although both are naturally beautiful)…we headed to Rittenhouse Square to do a first look.
A few things about their wedding that made this wedding especially fun.
1.) This was our first Jewish/Serbian wedding =0)
2.) We’ve experienced our first Hora (which looks incredibly fun).
3.) Nikola’s uncle distilled a bottle of Slivovitz (a Serbian plum brandy) in 1982 when Nikola was born. It was intended that the brandy be served on his wedding day. It was and people sure drank it up! Mozel Tov!
4.) In addition to some aged plum brandy, they had a great band CTO Park Central. Good band + good alcohol = a pretty funtastic time!
5.) Nikola and Caryn are both scientists and met each other at Columbia University in New York. This has been their 2nd wedding (to each other). They first married each other in March, I guess as a trial marriage, haha. I thought that was super cute and together they are super cute.

Ziveli (In English…Cheers)!
