First, I’d like to welcome you all to our new blog & website. Our web designer Nick Hempsey from Studio 412, has been working long hours for us. We appreciate all of his hard work and time! Some of the things on our new site are still in the works of being transitioned, but we really wanted to get it up before we left for St. Lucia. We wanted our site to fit our personality more than it did. We are quirky, fun people. Our idea with this design change is to make it more branded around us and who we are. Let us know what you think!
Our first wedding on our new design is Ben and Yaya. We simply love this couple. I could stop there and say nothing else, because that sums up how we feel. They are so stinkin’ cute together and are awesome people.
They got married at the Philadelphia Academy of the Fine Arts. I’m so happy that we were the photographers that documented this wedding!
Jen Baumann, our associate photographer, shot along with us too. She did a great job, thank you Jen!!
I highly recommend checking out their slideshow. It is one of my favorites.
Apparently, Yaya strongly dislike’s Ben’s shirt. Perhaps he’s wearing it as his last Hoorah! Ben, I think this shirt along with your blue hair would be killer! (yes he once had blue hair)
Don’t worry ladies, I took plenty of pictures that show your initials on the robes, I just thought this was really cute =0)
This Philadelphian played a little wedding tune for us. It just so happens that Ben and Yaya also play the violin.
We were so giddy to shoot in this location!
They looked at each other A LOT. It just shows how crazy in love they are. It’s little details like this that melt my heart.
We’ve seen first dances like this, but never a parent dance, let alone 2 at the same time. I would have NEVER thought in a million years they had this in them. Thanks guys for the heads up, lol. Luckily, we have quick reflexes to switch out lenses at times like this ;0)
Another fantastic job by our friends at Synergetic!
Ben & Yaya, you are absolutely meant for each other. It’s as obvious as day and night! Thank you for choosing us to document your wedding. I hope we made you proud!
Lastly, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to say this cheesy (but totally clever!) line. As fellow fans of The Hunger Games, I couldn’t think of a better couple to say it to…so here it goes:
Happy Wedding day! And may the odds be ever in your favor! (and I know they are) (Ps…don’t judge me, hahaha)
<3
Melissa.
