It was a very rainy June day when these two love birds tied the knot. There is something about rainy wedding photos that capture my heart. Maybe it’s because it creates more challenges for us or maybe it’s because I feel they have a more romantic feel to them, or maybe it’s because having rain on your wedding day allows us to get photos that you could never get on a sunny day. Whatever it is, rain draws me in every time.
Mackenzie and Jeff are so perfect together and we absolutely loved every second of their wedding day and getting to know this amazing couple. Despite the challenges of the heavy rains, I couldn’t be more happier with how this wedding turned out. There is a part of me that is actually glad it rained. One of the things I love about life is that it’s unpredictable. You could have one vision in mind for such an important day, like your wedding day, and then life happens, and it leaves you with something completely different. I’ve learned that if you just go with it and allow yourself to be open to different possibilities, with whatever hand you’re dealt, that something different could leave you speechless.
Enjoy this beautiful rainy wedding on this sunny day!
We were so excited to hear that Hannah Brencher (The founder of The world needs more Love Letters) was a great friend of Mackenzie’s and that she was officiating their wedding. We love that she puts inspiration and love out into the world and writes love letters to complete strangers. What better person to have marry you?
