It’s been awhile since we’ve had a warm sunny weekend here in Philadelphia (Not to mention in October). This Saturday was a warm 80 degrees in Brigantine, NJ. A perfect day for a beach wedding. However, I don’t think even a repeat of Hurricane Irene would have dampened the mood of this wedding. Okay, maybe a little, but, I know Jimmy and Christina would have made the best out of anything mother nature would have delivered on their wedding day.
Each wedding we shoot, has proven to me time and time again, that we are doing what we were meant to do. I can’t imagine us doing anything else for a living. Maybe I’m bias, but I think we work with the greatest bride and grooms. It’s amazing how different each couple can be, but there is always something special and amazing about each and every one. With Jimmy and Christina…I would say their best qualities would be that they are very warm people. There is a lot of love for not only each other, but for their family and friends as well. From what I’ve seen and learned from these two on the day of their wedding is that, what makes them happy are the small things in life. The things that people often overlook and forget.
The day started out as usual with Michael going to the guys and I with the girls. Jimmy’s place was within walking distance to Laguna Grill, while I took the coolest ride to the ceremony with the ladies, dad, and the San Fran certified Jintey driver. Thank you Christina, for allowing me to experience the Jitney. Will not forget it! It also wasn’t your ordinary Jitney…it was decorated like a wedding on wheels. Like I said Christina, I can see a potential wedding transportation business in your future =0)
Their ceremony and reception were held at Laguna Grill Martini Bar. This spot is not your typical wedding ballroom. To me, it has a “little bit of an everything feel”. It is a fun place, but also has elegance, it has an intimate atmosphere, but also offers the space for a lot of guests. It really is a great place. I was a little confused when I saw how interactive Christina and her parents were with the wait staff and why Mrs. Pullella bought them all fabulous orange ties…I later found out, Christina’s dad owns the restaurant, lol, that explained a lot. The staff was as warm and friendly as everyone else at the wedding. It really seemed as if their family, guests, and waitstaff were one big family. It was truly incredible being apart of it.
Jimmy and Christina, we wish you all the best. You deserve your tree house honeymoon, and so you should book it and enjoy yourselves!
Enjoy their extensive sneak peek. If you’d like to see more, check out their slideshow!
Hugs,
Melissa.
