Yesterday we shared a blog post from our trip to Maine. It was one of my most favorite trips ever. I say that about every new trip we take but thats ok.
For our family, adventuring is a priority. This doesn’t mean we want them to be travelers. Ok, well thats part of it. What we really want them to realize is that life itself is an adventure. And if that’s the case then we must treat it that way. We must push ourselves out there to explore and discover. We must try new things without fear of failure. We must also reframe our thoughts on fear. I love this quote from Thomas Edison..
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
I love this image of the girls. This was beside the dock that we used to take a water taxi from the island we were staying on to the main land. Each day the girls asked about going down here. We were always trying to not miss the taxi so we didn’t have the chance to do that. Finally we got to the dock earlier enough to make it happen. I said to the girls, “Girls, do you want to explore down there?” Of course they said yes in that half cheering voice. So we walked down and I just let them go.
