What did you do to celebrate the new year?  We shot a wedding at the Inn at Leola Village.  This was our first NYE wedding.  What a fun time!  Some of you are probably wondering why we didn’t spend it with our kids.   We are not bad parents, promise!  Honestly, they are 5 years old and they do not really understand what a new year really means (they understand it, but they could really care less).   To them, it’s just adding a number.  And really, that’s all it is!  New Years day is just as important to us as the next day and the day before it.  We spent last NYE with Ava and Bella (and the 3 before that) and they can never stay up.  I know they tried really hard to stay up for nana and pap pap this year, but called it quits at 9:30 pm, haha.

Anyway, I wanted to experience shooting a NYE wedding at least once!  It was so fun seeing the anticipation of the ball drop on the dance floor.   Michael and I had two completely different vantage points, so it’s interesting to see what we came away with.

Justin and Kim, thank you for choosing us to be apart of your day.  The NYE wedding experience was so fun for us!  Also, thank you for bearing the cold :0)

We must also thank your crazy (and lovable..haha) guests.  They gave us so much material to work with.    ;0)

Take a moment from your working day to check out this wedding.  It’s Friday, you can do that…

You think you’re having an intimate moment, than BOOM..you hear cheering and clapping coming from a nearby window. haha.

Who said flower girls had to be under a certain age?  Nah.  This has been the 3rd time Mary Grace has been a flower girl (since the age of 25).  It’s her calling.

I loved everything about the table settings!  Everything!  It’s simple, but yet the copper plates give the table a warm, winter feel.

Do not forget to check out their SLIDESHOW!

Another fabulous wedding will be posted on our blog this weekend.  We’ll also be doing a best of 2012 post next week.  Which will obviously include some of our favorite images of 2012.  In that post we’ll be talking about some changes we’ll be making for the New Year.   Nothing crazy, just always trying to improve 🙂  Stay tuned!
