A Terrain at Styers Stylized Shoot
Inspired by life, wood, and nature

Over the summer I had the privilege to shoot along with my good friend Jen at her styled shoot at Terrain.  When she asked me if I wanted to join along, I couldn’t say no.  I mean I dream of this place in my sleep (it’s true…I do dream of it occasionally).  It’s a happy place of mine and I’ve been dying to shoot there.

The abundance of green life, wood, and the naturalness of it all, is my style. I am most inspired by nature.  It’s beauty surrounds us everywhere.  Nature, like humans, has it’s vast differences from one place to another.  I find that incredible and I appreciate that.  It’s hard not to be inspired by it.

Stylized shoots are fun to shoot.  The shoot can be stylized to your style or vision and is usually developed by a team of creatives.  You also have more time to really tap into your creativity and think outside the box. I was bummed that I had to leave a little after we started shooting portraits.  I could have shot here all day long.  Another great thing with stylized shoots is that it provides new inspiration for couples when planning for their big day.

We plan on doing more stylized shoots in the future.  I think it would be great to bring our couples more wedding inspiration since our styles are similar.  I’m also really excited to work with some of our favorite and extremely talented vendors in are area and in the industry.

Enjoy!

PS. We need to shoot a wedding here!
