OUR APPROACH
M2 Photography was founded by Melissa and Michael over eighteen years ago with a simple goal: to document weddings in a way that feels honest, emotional, and deeply connected to the people at the center of the day.
As a photographer, Melissa brings a calm, intuitive presence and a deep sensitivity to the energy of a wedding day. She knows when to step in and offer guidance, when to bring a little levity, and when to simply step back and let the moment unfold.
At the heart of her work is aliveness.
She’s always looking for where it lives. Sometimes it’s loud. The belly laugh, the arms thrown in the air, the packed dance floor, the wind catching a veil. And sometimes it’s incredibly soft. A hand resting on a shoulder, a deep breath before walking down the aisle, the way someone looks at the person they love when no one else is paying attention.
Melissa is drawn to images you can feel.
Her work is rooted in connection and in helping people feel comfortable enough to be fully themselves. Because the photographs that matter most aren’t necessarily the most perfect ones. They’re the ones that bring you right back into your body and remind you what it felt like to be there.
After more than eighteen years of photographing weddings, that is still what she is searching for.
