I really can’t believe that Cailen and Craig’s wedding is one of our last weddings of the 2011 wedding season. I said to Michael months ago, once we shoot their wedding, it will really hit me that we have come down to the final stretch.
I must say, what an amazing wedding to be apart of. We first met Cailen and Craig when they came to our house to meet us about possibly shooting their wedding. We were thrilled when they decided to go with us. I knew our personalities would just click. We shot their fun Anthropologie engagement shoot one year ago in Philadelphia. After the engagement shoot, we’ve gotten together for happy hour and dinner. We became friends rather than just the photographers shooting their wedding.
I really think developing a friendship with our clients has really helped our photography. There is much more of a connection when shooting the event. Not only does it give the bride and groom comfort when working with us on the wedding day, but it also helps the family and friends on the wedding day. Most of the guests thought we’ve know each other for years.
Their slideshow is also special. Although, the song may sound very familiar to one we recently used, listen closely. It is actually Cailen singing (she’s silly talented). She took the song and changed parts and gave it a little Cailen touch. It was definitely a sweet touch to their first dance.
Michael is thankful for the lunch Craig bought him…cannot go wrong with street hot dogs!
Don’t most grooms go to Staples on their wedding day?!
Our first ever bride to wear a blush colored dress!
You can clearly see two very different perspectives from 2 different photographers, lol. However, they work well together =0)
Cailen was literally sown into her dress.
I believe the entire room was crying, including Michael and myself.
If Michael had his way with the guys, this is what you would get…lol
Afterward we attended the after party at Tavern on Broad where surprisingly Craig was wide awake closing down the bar (quite impressive). Michael and I are happy to have shared a buttery nipple shot with the bride and groom (girly, I know..but it goes down easy. Clearly we are not big drinkers, lol). I’m very interested in seeing Cailen’s dad’s pictures from post-wedding hours ( I like to call him, the after hours photographer).
Craig & Cai, you are an amazing couple and amazing friends. We wish you nothing but the best and happiness in your future together. It was great being apart of such an amazing event and it’s been a pleasure meeting your family and friends. Enjoy your honeymoon!
TTFN! (for all the newbies…Ta Ta For Now).
