Don’t Text and Drive

Last month, we got to shoot something completely different than we are used to.  We shot some creative commercial portraits for Works Design Group.  We did something different with each person.  Something that describes them or their personalities.  We love this crew.  They were loads of fun to spend the day with.   Michael was 20(ish) feet up in the air attached to a harness.  Each of the team members collaborated a creative shot using props and the cement floor below.  We shot looking down at them as if creating a real life portrait.   You can imagine, we got some pretty interesting stuff!  :)

One thing we learned is that you shouldn’t text and drive…whether that be a car, a boat, or a bicycle .  The outcome could be devastating in every situation.

Two shots of Chris’s portraits.

Cailen does Yoga!

Something Michael and I would like to get more into (it’s a goal) is individual portraiture.  We love the fast pace of weddings, which is one reason we love photographing weddings, but portraits is a much different pace.  You have to think through every shot.  Something you do not get to do with weddings.  So if you need some creative portraiture done…let’s talk.

Cailen will probably look familiar.  We’ve shot her engagement shoot, wedding, boudoir, and now portraits for her new career path!  We obviously love working with her.  We are also very supportive of her yoga career and wish her nothing but the best.  She’s destined to do good things!  We love her ideas and her goals!  She’s one determined person!

Here are a few shots from her shoot.

Shaun & Liz’s woodsy engagement shoot

We had a crazy busy weekend but I couldn’t think of a better way to end a weekend than spending a couple hours with a future 2012 couple.  Originally, our plan was to shoot at a near by abandoned restaurant.  Unfortunately, the cops came to our house as well as every house on our block last week asking questions about someone breaking into the building and stealing kitchen appliances.  How does no one notice someone removing large amounts of heavy kitchen equipment out of a building.  This place is right along a busy road, lol.   Anyway, it’s be patrolled ever since and we had to go with plan B.

Plan B was very close to not working out either because of Mother Nature.  However, she decided to hold off and everything worked out.  We found a great woodsy/romantic location.   It reminded me of Forks, Washington, haha.

Shaun & Liz are down right awesome people.  They were open to every idea we had.  Some of the spots were not easy to get to, but they understood, it was all for a great shot =0)

We are very much looking forward to their December wedding at The Downtown Club, in Philadelphia.

Enjoy!
