A preview of David & Meghan’s Rittenhouse Wedding

I wanted to give a little preview of this amazing wedding we shot last week!  The holidays have us a little backed up.  {Is it just me or does Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years happen one after the other ;) }

Anyway, David and Meghan have a crazy amazing love.  Crazy good, not crazy bad!  They complete each other.   She’s the rock to his roll.

More of this winter wedding to come! It’s been a little harder to narrow down the blog pictures :)

James and Cat’s Atlantic City Wedding

What can I say about James and Cat?  We’ve known them for about 6 or 7 years now.  We’re so happy that we were the duo to capture their wedding day.

I’m also happy that their wedding day turned out to be everything they hoped for.   As most of you know, Atlantic City along with every other beach town in NJ was hit hard by Sandy.  James and Cat live in Brigantine which, is just north of Atlantic city.  Like so many others, they had to relocate themselves after Sandy and are still working on the repairs of their own house.  While driving through the town of Brigantine and seeing dumpsters filled with furniture, other belongings, driving by condemned houses, houses that were gutted, people that were outside working on their houses,  my heart was breaking.  When Cat and I spoke a few weeks ago on the phone hashing out the final details of the wedding day, she told me it’s been a little stressful.  James was busy working on the house and she had to finalize all the remaining details of the wedding herself.  Something they should have been doing together.  I admire them for pushing forward and not letting this bring them down.   Boy, do they deserve a vacation!  They make such a great couple and I’m so happy they found each other!

I hope you all enjoy this wedding as much as we do!  {oh and….pin away, because you can now}

Happy Wednesday!

Uggs bridal footwear?  I think so.  If you’re having a winter wedding, why not keep to toesies warm?

This is where James bought Cat on her first date. Just kidding, haha.  But they did come here. Sadly, it’s no longer open :(

They sure got a lot of (un)wanted attention, haha.

I love when fog just comes rolling in and eats everything up.

One of my favorite shots from the entire day =)

This guy was so cute.  He was homeless, but a cute homeless guy.  After he noticed us, he started saying in the most excited voice ever “I’m on camera, I’m on camera”, haha.

Who is this photo bomber?  ;0)

Another favorite.  So amazing how things just work out sometimes.

Can you ever go wrong with candy?  I was a little disappointed that they were closed when we left the wedding :(

The biggest box of nerds I ever saw!

Pretty uplighting gets me every time.  It was like a winter wonderland in this room.  I loved it!

I loved the biker cake topper.  Wouldn’t it be funnier if he didn’t ride motorcycle and they just picked it to throw people off.  Haha.

I loved the tea-light candles hanging from the ceiling.  Seriously, I asked Michael if we could do this exact thing in our house.  I’m still working on convincing him.

One of the funniest/craziest dance parties.  So much fun!

I’ll give you ONE guess as to what song was being played at this moment.  Starts with a G and ends with an ANGNAM.  Really, it’s not that hard to guess? lol.

The view would have been amazing with all of the AC lights.  But again, the fog swallowed up everything and you couldn’t see anything out the window.  It was pretty freaky.

I have no words…haha.  You’d be surprised with the things us photographers capture.

James & Cat, after everything you’ve been through with Sandy and rebuilding your house, you threw an amazing wedding.  We are so happy that we were apart of it! I know you’ll enjoy St. Lucia!  Their free wi-fi is a little slow..it’s on island speed like everything else, so I hope you get the chance to see these :)

To see more of their wedding, check out their SLIDESHOW.   The song is pretty perfect for their December wedding!  (Helen…tears are perfectly acceptable)

Shaun & Liz’s winter wedding affair

It hasn’t been feeling like December the past few days, but it sure did this past Saturday!  The only thing this winter wedding didn’t have was snow and let’s not sound too needy because this wedding was as perfect as it gets!   I do not use the word swoon often… in fact, I don’t think I ever used that term.   However, there is a first for everything and this wedding has me swooning!  If you didn’t know, I’m a HUGE fan of winter weddings.  Why?  It sounds crazy, yes, I’m aware, but I think it’s the perfect time to get married.  It was chilly and correct me if I’m wrong, but on chilly days, you want to cuddle up next to your other half (or your dog…whichever, you like better I guess, haha)?  It’s a cozy time of year.  The bummer of winter is that it gets dark earlier, which, usually means less time for portraits.  Not necessarily.   Philadelphia at this time of year is so pretty, it’s almost magical (almost, haha).   You’ll notice that everything about Shaun & Liz’s portraits are cozy.

With 4 more weddings left for 2012 (insert frown face), I think we are ending on a strong note!   Would you agree?  We’d love to hear your feedback on this wedding :0)

First off….who has a house like this?!  Come on!  Pulley’s and all…

My first reaction when I stepped into her house was “shut the front door”!  Holy freaking smokes!

I recently did a boudoir shoot with Liz.  It’s something she wanted to do for Shaun.  It was probably one of my best shoots.  I feel like Liz is a person that I just clicked with right away.  She’s a beautiful and caring person inside and out.  Shaun compliments her  so well, as he’s the same exact way.   I know I sound so sappy when I say this, and I’m sure every wedding photographer should say this, but we are seriously so unbelievably blessed to be doing this for a living.

So brides to be…ponder over this idea :)

{Shaun…sorry if my vintage button was too much for you, haha}

How gorgeous is her dress?  I think if this was my dress, I’d wear it every day, all day!  Think I’m kidding?  ;0)

Can they be any more into each other?  It was like the rest of us in the church didn’t exist.  We did (obviously), but seriously, they were so cute!

I like seeing people upload pictures as soon as the ceremony is over, haha.  Ooo, the social media world that we live in!

Liz’s hair was so awesome, it’s Pinterest worthy!

Ya did good ladies!  Well done :)

I’m such a huge fan of shawls.  We saw 3 wedding parties in Old City Saturday night.  The odd thing was, they all had the same dress color (one of them with a white shawl too).  Quite honestly, I think our girls wore it best, haha.  Of course I would say that, because they are awesome!

One of my most favorite shots of the entire day!  Michael deserves the credit for this spot :)

We made a quick stop to Liz’s hair salon.  The reaction…priceless.

Ahh..so FREAKING romantic.  Seriously, Michael and I need to get married again so I can plan a winter wedding!

If you look closely at the picture below, you’ll see someone standing in the window.  CREEPY!

This is probably our best ring shot…ever!

I loved their simple, clean, yet romantic and cozy decor!  It was perfect for this time of year.

Have you ever heard of Philadelphia Funk Authority?  If not, look them up!   They are only one of the coolest bands around.

Shaun & Liz, we know you will not see this until you return from you honeymoon.   We hope we were everything you hoped we would be!  We absolutely loved working with you and thank you so much, from the bottom of our heart, for including us :)

To see more of their wedding, check out their SLIDESHOW!

Happy Wednesday (which, feels a whole lot like Thursday..hate when that happens)!

<3
