A Lovely Anniversary Gift

I’ve been so excited to share my latest boudoir shoot with you.  I had to wait a little while because this was a special gift for her husband, for their 1 year anniversary.  What a lucky (and surprised) man!

Michael and I know this couple (we shot their wedding last year) and this shoot was something completely out of Caitlin’s comfort zone.   I suppose not many are comfortable with the idea of getting half naked in front of a camera, lol.  Well, she broke out of her shell and put herself in that zone and she did such an awesome job.

Not only does she look stunning in every single image, she was so comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera that she even surprised me!  I received a lot of positive feedback from her and that makes me so unbelievably happy.  I think every female has the right to feel good about themselves and feel sexy.  Regardless of size or shape, women are beautiful!

I must thank my makeup artist Alexis Vesper.  She did an awesome job on this shoot!

Below are some of my favorite shots from my latest boudoir shoot.

The last 3 are some of my favorite.  I have other favorites, but I only showcase the more conservative shots :)

I love this shot.

Don’t be shy…Leave some boudoir love!

Simply Gorgeous!

The more I do shoots like this, the more I enjoy this type of photography.  All women are beautiful in different ways and are great subjects.

Also what female doesn’t enjoy being pampered?  You get your hair and make-up done, you have a drink, chat with other girls, and I take pretty pictures. I have fun with it.

What woman doesn’t enjoy quality female time?  Let’s be honest, we enjoy talking about things that most men could care less about.  For instance, shopping, shoes, who’s dating who in Hollywood, bridesmaid dresses, pinterest, twilight, true blood, the hunger games,  etc.

Whenever I can have a conversation about any of those things with another female, it’s like a breath of fresh air.  The most popular topics that come up in my discussions with Michael involve specs of the new full frame cameras, shooting at high iso, Nikon lenses, what we need to buy, and off camera lighting.  All of which I enjoy talking about, but I could never get Michael to willingly be open to a discussion about a sweet pair of heels. Lol.

Ireen has given me permission to show you some of my favorite images, which I’m excited to share.  Except if your name happens to be Brennan.  And if it happens to be your name and you are the Brennan that is her boyfriend.  Except you.  You’ll need to wait, haha.

Some of the pictures gave me goosies (aka goosebumps) when I saw them.  She is a naturally beautiful person.  My goal with Ireen was to shoot in a way that would enhance her natural beauty.

Much thanks to my make-up artist, Yvette.  She’s funny, fun, sweet and insanely awesome at what she does.  She’s my girl.

Also, thank you Juliet and Sarah for assisting me with this shoot.

We played a game during hair and make-up.  I seriously need to buy this for future shoots!

Bodi came along for support.  He just about gave Mr. Ugglesworth a stroke.  Our dog is the biggest alpha male (and he’s a pug).

Is it just me or do you agree that she resembles Scarlett Johanson in the below right image?

Feel free to be social and leave some feedback :)

Happy Friday everyone!

Melissa

Hey Friends!

With all of these amazingly gorgeous days we’ve been having, I’m finding it hard to be inside.  If only the weather was like this all year round, I would certainly, without a doubt, build a quaint outdoor work station.   It seems as though, we are finally having a spring for once, rather than going straight from freezing to hot.  However, it is doing quite the number on my sinuses >:0|

Enough about my sinuses, and more about this last boudoir shoot I did.  Again another past bride our ours volunteered to be one of my guinea pigs.  Except they both looked a lot better than any guinea pig ever would ;0)

Juliet and Cailen turned out to be two very good choice of models.  They both have very different personalities as well as looks.  Although, both are very beautiful and super amazing in their own way, it challenged me to approach and do things a little differently.  At the end of the day, I’m very happy with how both of the shoots turned out.

Yvette, the make-up artist, strikes again!  She did an amazing job as always.  I really wish I could afford to have her move in with us and prep me every day.  Some people have live- in nannies….I prefer live- in makeup artist. Ha.  When I watch her do the makeup, it seems so natural and effortless for her.  Thank you Yvette for having a talent that enhances the stunningness of a woman.  I don’t even think stunningness is a word, but if it’s not, it should be.

Also, thank you Jennifer Baumann, an associate photographer of ours, and our intern Maura Macfeat for assisting me on this shoot.

Lastly, I want to thank both Cailen and Juliet for giving me permission to share their images with you.  I wouldn’t normally post this many images from a boudoir shoot, but these gals gave me full permission to showcase.

If you are interested in doing a shoot, my boudoir pricing starts at $350. I have 3 more exciting boudoir shoots lined up and with wedding season just around the corner, I will only be accepting 7 more shoots for 2012 (I recommend booking in advance).  Feel free to contact me for more detailed pricing and information.

Feel free to leave some comment love and let me know your thoughts!
