M2′s January 28th Beginners Photography Workshop

Photography_Workshop_Philadelphia03

Last weekend we held two workshops at our new location in Collegeville, Pa.   The first of the weekend being our beginners photography workshop.   It was a great start to our 2012 workshops. We only offer 13 seats in our photography workshops.  Our goal with these workshops is not to get as many people as we possibly can to sign up.  We want each person to leave feeling  that they've learned a lot and at the end of the day,  feel much more confident than they did when they walked … [Read more...]

New photography workshop dates!

Philadelphia-Digital-Photography-Workshop-13

It's that time of year where more and more people get a digital slr camera for Christmas. Why not purchase them a seat in one of our upcoming workshops, so they can learn how to use it. If they are like most people, they'll stick it on auto and let the camera do the thinking. Doesn't that take the fun out of owning a nice camera? I like to control the camera rather than let it control me (maybe that's just me, I am a control freak). Why not take advantage of it's full capabilities? Why not … [Read more...]

M2′s August Beginner’s workshop

Philadelphia-Digital-Photography-Workshop 01

On Saturday we had our last scheduled workshop for the year.  It was a really great class!  The students were great and so were our models, oh and let's not forget the yummy in your tummy treats. We may look into adding another class towards the end of the year or maybe in the beginning of 2012.  That is to be decided, but if you're interested in getting information on any upcoming classes, please shoot us an email on our contact page.  Or if you are interested in modeling at one of our … [Read more...]

Michael and I have begun offering photography workshops this year.  It is a great class for someone wanting to learn how to use their camera and/or someone who wants to learn how to shoot their camera in manual. This workshop happened to be our first filled to the max workshop.  Thank gosh Jackie and Mike from The Cake Shop donated extra red velvet cupcakes.  They really outdid themselves this time!  I had at least 2 before anyone arrived =0) We had a great class that asked a lot of … [Read more...]

Philadelphia Wedding Photography Workshop 4

We held our fourth photography workshop on Sunday. Our approach to a beginner just learning their camera in the field is keep the class small and divide the attention.   With there being two of us, that seems to be key.  We do not expect to make a living by offering the workshops, we do it because we enjoy it and being able to share what we know and to help others, makes us happy. It's as simple as that. A special thanks to Amanda and Steve (our models), you were wonderful! Also, a … [Read more...]

This past weekend we held our 3rd workshop for beginners.  I'm very pleased on how smoothly the class went.  Once again, we had some awesome workshop attendees.  It always makes both Michael and I very happy to see other people have the same passion and interests.  Thank you to our wonderful model, Tati.   You did a splendorific job looking pretty.  We are hoping to receive a shot from each of the attendees in the next week or two.  We will be posting them once we receive … [Read more...]

M2′s second workshop, a success! Camera Cupcakes, a double success!

M2 Photography Workshop_ 18

This past Saturday, we held our second workshop.  I would say this was a successful workshop.  We had an awesome new group of aspiring photographers.  Everyone was eager to learn, which we like! First, let's spend a long minute talking about my cupcakes, lol.  I wanted to do something different and so I decided to make cupcakes with mini cameras on top.  Looks simple right?  No, not quite.  It wasn't that they were hard to make, they just took hours to do.  I was way in over my head … [Read more...]

M2′s first fantastical beginners workshop.

Photography Workshop-M2 Photography 02

Saturday was our first ever photography for beginners workshop.  Doing this workshop was something we enjoyed doing and will be doing more of in the near future.  Our whole goal of these workshops is to simply give each student a better understanding of how to use their camera to make better images.   The three hour class on Saturday consisted of seven students.  The workshops we will be offering in the future will be 4 hours long and up to 15 students per class.   We will soon have a … [Read more...]
