Last weekend we held two workshops at our new location in Collegeville, Pa. The first of the weekend being our beginners photography workshop. It was a great start to our 2012 workshops. It's that time of year where more and more people get a digital slr camera for Christmas. Why not purchase them a seat in one of our upcoming workshops, so they can learn how to use it. If they are like most people, they'll stick it on auto and let the camera do the thinking. Doesn't that take the fun out of owning a nice camera? On Saturday we had our last scheduled workshop for the year. It was a really great class! The students were great and so were our models, oh and let's not forget the yummy in your tummy treats. Michael and I have begun offering photography workshops this year. It is a great class for someone wanting to learn how to use their camera and/or someone who wants to learn how to shoot their camera in manual. We held our fourth photography workshop on Sunday. Our approach to a beginner just learning their camera in the field is keep the class small and divide the attention. With there being two of us, that seems to be key. We do not expect to make a living by offering the workshops, we do it because we enjoy it and being able to share what we know and to help others, makes us happy. It's as simple as that. This past Saturday, we held our second workshop. I would say this was a successful workshop. We had an awesome new group of aspiring photographers. Everyone was eager to learn, which we like! Saturday was our first ever photography for beginners workshop. Doing this workshop was something we enjoyed doing and will be doing more of in the near future. Our whole goal of these workshops is to simply give each student a better understanding of how to use their camera to make better images. The three hour class on Saturday consisted of seven students.
