Jacob as a 1 year old

Philadelphia_children's_photography_M2 04

I'm going to just come out and say it.....I LOVE THIS LITTLE BOY!   He had me at his first cry 1 year ago when we shot his newborn shoot.   Maybe some of you recognize him as the handsome little ring bearer at Joann & Emir's Please Touch Museum wedding.  Seeing Jacob again has been another reminder of how fast time flies right on by.  It seemed like he was born yesterday.  Now, he's a 1year old and has developed his own amazingly sweet personality.  It's truly amazing having the … [Read more...]

Michael & Anna Pia’s Vintage inspired Anniversary Shoot

Vintage_Inspired_Anniversary_Shoot 06

I would say last week was a good week of shoots for us.  On Sunday we shot Anna Pia & Michael's anniversary shoot.  After initially speaking with her, I found out that they got married on a special day.  October 17th is special to them not only because it is their anniversary, but that day also happens to be Anna Pia's birthday.  We had an instant connection because Michael and I also got married on my birthday.  Anna Pia and I have been chatting back and forth for months over this … [Read more...]

Welcome Jaxon!

M2_Newborn_Photography_Jaxon 05

Capturing a wedding is one thing....fun, hectic, emotional, amazing...all of those feelings in one day.  It's another thing to capture that same couple's new adventure into parenthood.  All the same feelings apply.  Parenthood is at times extremely emotional, hectic, fun, and most definitely amazing. I'm so happy to introduce one of our previous bride and groom's little boy, Jaxon.  Christian and Andrea, both being teachers, were destined to be parents.  We couldn't be happier for them, … [Read more...]

Meet Mr. Ian!

Philadelphia_Children_Photography_Ian 13

Not only is Ian incredibly cute, he's also very charming.  This stage of the first year is a fun one (10-12 months).  He's already walking (a lot), which blew my mind.   He tumbled, bumbled his way down a small hill or two, but considering his age, he walked very well. As most of you know, we've been having a lot of rain.  Well it didn't rain on the day of the shoot, but the ground was sure wet and muddy.  Mommy and Daddy allowed him to have a little fun and get a little dirty … [Read more...]

Pat & Britt’s portrait session.

Anniversary_Shoot 02

Brittany and Pat have been happily together for 8 years (married for 2).   After seeing pictures we took of her friend's engagement shoot, she inquired about getting photo's taken of her and her husband, something they have never done.  After emailing back and forth and having random facebook chats together, I felt I had a very good insight of them as a couple.  Michael and I are both suckers for hopeless romantics and I would say Pat & Britt are just that. To give you a little … [Read more...]

Meet Audrey, Again| Childrens Portraiture

children portraits

Our second shoot of the weekend was Audrey.  This adorable little girl, full of personality.   We first met Audrey 1 year ago when we took pictures of her when she was only 6 months old.  I couldn't believe how much she's grown and matured over the last year.  See the difference yourself from the last shoot, Baby Fever.  She is now 18ish months old and looks like a 3 year old.  Michael and I know all to well how fast kids grow, but it still amazes me every time I see the progression in … [Read more...]

An abandoned mill shoot

Mill Portrait

What do you get with a few photographers shooting with a few different cameras, using off camera flash in a really cool location?  A lot of really cool pictures. Michael and I do not have many free Saturday nights (with babysitting).  This was one of the few.  What to do, what to do??  Oh I got it!  Let me pull out that pretty dress I bought from China (http://www.lightinthebox.com/), let's gather a few photog friends and find that abandoned Mill we keep hearing about and make some … [Read more...]

The McManus’s first ever family photoshoot | Valley Forge National Park

McManus Family Potraits_ 01

There's a first time for everything.  This was a first for us, our first ever family portrait (that we didn't take, lol).  It may seem hard to believe that we've never had our picture taken by anyone else, being that Michael and I are both photographers and we both know really talented people in the same profession. Who was the lucky dog behind the camera?  Our friend Thomas Pappanastasiou (pronounced: pappa-nice-to-see-you....I've pronounced his last name many ways, none of which are ever … [Read more...]

M2 takes on New York City

New York City_Janine 06

It was more like we just took on taking pictures of Janine in New York City rather than New York City itself, lol.  It seems that no matter what we do or where we go, we always have many stories to share.  Our day trip to New York was no exception, the day was filled with laughs (and at one point yelling, lol).   Those yells were formulated as a result from our GPS that managed to get us lost in Brooklyn when it should have gotten us lost in Manhattan (or not lost at all).   Finally after … [Read more...]

Free cake for life….I’ll shoot for that | The Cake Shop

Phillycakeshop_Jackie 2

Yesterday, I took pictures of my great friend Jackie for her cake biz. She was a great sport! She allowed me to do her makeup and put fake eyelashes on her for the shoot. She even considered wearing heels, which didn't happen, but I was not about to complain after the level of discomfort she was willing to take on during this shoot (fake eyelashes, skinny jeans, spanx..to name a few). To ease her anxiety, I poured her a glass of wine and went to work on her makeup.    Because this was my … [Read more...]
