Katie & Evan
"If the whole world was watching I’d still dance with you"

Over the summer, we shot this beautiful Union League wedding in Philadelphia. When we met with Katie and Evan, they told us of their love for the outdoors and also their love for the beauty of wild nature. You may remember their waterfall engagement shoot. I completely envisioned their formal wedding having elements of wild in it. Sullivan Owen did a fantastic job with the florals and created the most stunning wildflower bouquets that we’ve ever seen. Katie’s two piece Carol Hannah dress that she found at Lovely bride is unique and stunning.

Evan and Katie married themselves, Quaker style. It was an incredibly beautiful personal ceremony filled with laughter and tears. In lieu of a unity candle, the couple mixed spices together to create their own unique blend of spices.

When most people think of us and our photography style, they think nature and earth tones. Although, that is true, we absolutely love shooting in a natural setting, this wedding was one of our favorites from this past year. It was a great blend of urban, wildness, emotion, and personal touches.
