the beginner – a workshop for the new photographer
Do you have a dslr and still use it on auto? Are your pictures just not turning out the way you’d like them to? If your answer to these questions is yes then this workshop is for you! You will learn how to use your camera on manual and finally start taking the pictures you want to take.

Who should take this class?
If you have a DSLR and don’t know how to use your camera on manual, this workshop is for you. If you don’t have a fundamental understanding of photography and cannot seem to get the kinds of pictures you want, then this workshop is for you.
Who shouldn’t take this class?
This workshop isn’t for people who already know how to use their camera on manual, for those looking for advanced techniques, or people entering into business.
Requirements
- -You must have a DSLR (and bring it of course).
- -Read your manual and bring it along with you. This is important because we won’t cover individual camera functions.
- -Be on time. We want to be respectful of the students that do arrive on time.
Details
Each is a four hour workshop. The class will begin at noon on the dates listed and end at 4pm. Snacks are included (including yummy cupcakes) and beverages. Each person will receive additional information to further their learning as well as continued support from M2. Our continued support includes answering questions and critiquing work. We will also be offering optional assignments to the students once the workshop is finished as part of a continued education.There is a maximum of 13 students per class, so everyone will have an opportunity to ask specific questions. If we don’t fill the 13 spots for your workshop we may or may not reschedule. The workshop will start at our home for the first half and move to a local park from there. Location information will be sent once you’ve registered.
